Bagian dia bosan menjadi pemimpin neraka lalu pensiun ke L.A mungkin cukup sesuai dengan penggambarannya di graphic novel. Tapi tak heran kalau bagian setelahnya membuat fans Lucifer versi graphic novel emosi. Terutama bagian terakhir, di mana digambarkan dia diam-diam masih mencari pengampunan. Alih-alih menghadapi berbagai makhluk fantastis, termasuk dewa Shinto, kumpulan tarot paling berbahaya di semesta, dan banyak lagi, ada kekhawatiran serial TV Lucifer hanya menggambarkan dia berkeliling L.A menyelesaikan prosedural polisi yang terlalu fana untuk dihadapi makhluk seperti dia.
